Program Manager -Conventional Power & Renewable Energy
Position
AMEC Earth & Environmental has an immediate opening in our Westford, MA office for a Senior Seller/Doer and Team Leader to expand our existing power and energy practice.
Responsibilities
Qualified candidates will have proven experience managing a consulting practice at the program level; developing and maintaining strong client relationships; managing energy projects with multi-discipline teams; developing and managing project scopes and budgets; and developing new opportunities through business development and proposal processes. Position involves a focus on Program Management for conventional power and renewable energy project clients throughout the Northeastern U.S. Strategy development, data analysis and interpretation, preparation of permit applications, EIR/EA/EIS document preparation, client and regulatory agency interface and oversight of associated technical studies is required. Proven leadership skills or the demonstrated ability to transition quickly into a key leadership position is essential.
Knowledge/Experience
Bachelors or Master's degree in biology, environmental planning, engineering or related field with greater than 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, preferably at the program management level.
Proven track record in client marketing/development, technical presentations, and proposal preparation activities.
Extensive experience in the preparation of Regulatory documents, permits and filings and a strong background in technical application processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable state, local and federal codes and regulations including NEPA required.
Project experience may include Power Plant Permitting, Transmission Line Permitting, Air and Noise Permitting, Transportation Planning & Corridor Studies, Endangered Species, Water Resources, Wetlands Delineation and Mitigation, Coastal Zoning, Land Use, General Plan Revisions and Updates or similar Infrastructure related projects.
Must be proficient in computer use including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
Alternative energy experience with wind generation (both on- and off-shore), solar, ethanol, biodiesel and coal gasification a plus.
