Entry Level Air Quality Modeler/Engineer - AMEC Earth & Environmental

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This opportunity will give the successful candidate the chance to contribute to the broad range of AMEC's air quality services. Responsibilities include:

  • Implement a wide range of air quality models and/or implement air pollution control technology review and regulatory documentation under the direction of senior AMEC staff to support project permitting and operations
  • Participate in technical analysis and documentation associated with air quality efforts
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining positive and effective client relationships
  • Develop technical or regulatory expertise in air quality issues
  • Support marketing and business development efforts on air quality projects
  • Participate in nationwide opportunities to support and expand air quality capability
  • Provide support to project managers in other areas as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in meteorology, engineering or related field
  • Strong organization and communication skills needed.
  • Must be detail-oriented, responsible, and comfortable with spreadsheets and calculations.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in a range of additional project support activities important.
  • Experience with air quality modeling, regulations, emissions control technology and/or FORTRAN a plus. Database and/or Microsoft Access experience desired.
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment are a must.
